favorite groove- #41 (Carter Beauford) favorite solo - Finally Free (Mike Portnoy)
these two are my favorites because they are so simple, yet complexed. it takes many years of simple four stroke roll practice to pull of any one of these plus a serious tool box of problem solving to incorporate the whole drum kit into the song.

What's up fellas this Jason what's up. Yeah drummer boy Rexcell Hardy is another church drummer that switched it up one time. He plays for Michelle Williams, Mary J. Blige( Tour) and some more gospel stuff. He is tight but he and Calvin aren't really on the same page. But Rexcell is one of my favorites. His style and his pocket are so tight. The stuff Calvin Rogers can do will put you in the mind of Dennis Chambers. Matter of fact for all you drumming experts. Ha Ha. Do this for me. In Rain on us (remix) if you ever heard or seen Calvin Rodgers perform it he puts a little something called a Dennis Chambers sweep in their. Hey man keep praying for me and I'll keep praying for you all I'm trying to get my career off in the right direction. But try and keep God first and he will take your playing to another level. Just ask Calvin Rogers. He's no different from anyone else but he just kept God first. He's playing for Kel's now.

listen let me tell all of you guys something. i know that your hearts are sincere but Calvin Rodgers, Dennis Chambers, Mike Portnoy, Carter Beauford, LaDell Abrams, Rexcell Hardy, and Rodney Smith; these guys are not all that. a serious drummer can't really take them seriously. they have talent but they are extremely overrated. believe me. find some different inspiration. trust me it will be the best thing you have ever done.

what's happnin to all the drummers out there... my fave groove / solo right now might be an obscure one for ya'll. it's hard to find. TRACK leftovers BAND fiuczynski's headless torsos ALBUM amandala (2001) DRUMMER oliver gene lake jr the stuff gene lays down on this one is absolutely SICKENING. if u aren't up your surgically precise and cerebrally centered fusion drumming, let this album and this drummer be your homework 4 a minute or two. check it out at www.torsos.com and www.genelake.com. peace outro de quai CHICAGO STAND UP.

what's up jason this is jonathan from flint, mi and that cat that u referring 2 is a personnel friend of mine Chris Coleman. If u think that's ridiculous check out the dvd and watch the solo he gets during one of the slow songs. And also get his cd it's a track on there with all moves no bass, keyboard, a little sound effects but just drums. it's sick. fav. groove-akira jimbo solo-chris coleman on isreal dvd hey jason im a huge calvin rodgers fan,i was looking at what u wrote and u said that calvin is playing for kel's i just wanted to no who that is and also what other cd's can i catch him on apart from jhon p.kee and kim burrell? also what is he up to at the moment? i live in london so its hard to find out what he is up to. have u heard the drummer on isreal and the newbreeds new album another level? he is heavy.holla back.peace
